MORE PAINT ON THE DUSTER !!!

Yup, Just put the second coat on the rear flanks and am waiting a bit then putting the third (final) one on.

The drivers door didn't get done in the end but the Flanks are a bonus !

It's looking sweet.  Ahem.  Mean.

I'll let Chris put some more piccy's up . . . . . . . .

Not perfect but close.

Shhhhhh.......  we've been rumbled

Roadkill

Well I got the roof, cowl and posts done, finished, yesterday.

Also got the Drivers side door and sill finished too.

IF some idiot hadn't forgotten their Camera you'd be able to see some pictures . . . .

You'll have to wait a day or so.

Only got the Passenger side door, shut and sill to do.

I Have got to re-address the lower flanks at some point but that's easily hide-able.

FUBAR

Is it coming to the Fancott tomorrow? or still more work needed? will be great to see it out again
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

No.

After the paint is finished it'll be hidden away for at least a month for the paint to harden fully.

Chemicals (eg Bird Sh!t) can ruin a painted finish before its final rub-down and cut.

Plus it has no brakes at the mo'.

Nice black floor too... ;-)

Roadkill

Yeah.  That'll be fun explaining that away . . . .

FUBAR

LOL has nobody else been in yet to see it?
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

Not really.  My MD saw it when it had Black wings and bonnet . . . That's it.

FUBAR

out of interest how does satin black stand up to greasy mit prints? is it like normal paint or more like stainless steel where even the slightest touch shows up?
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

It's not great.  But once it's had a 1000 Grit wet flat, followed by a 1200 wet flat, then a T-cut and polish, it should be fine.

FUBAR

thats good then, it'd be a pain having such high maintainance that ment you couldn't touch the thing, + Bling would be a nightmare!

The rule with Satin is "You Don't Care".

I'm sure philO will be around to take care of it

Roadkill

He'll be trying to get a shine to it.

Incursus

Your boss's said anything yet?

Roadkill

Oh, Guess what ?

As our Labour haven't got anything to do today I've got my foreman and his two monkeys, we will call them and , stripping down the scaffold tower which are in the unit !!!

To say that I really wish the Duster wasn't there at the Mo' is an UNDERSTATEMENT !!!.

I've already told them that if they touch the car I'll sack them . . .

But Chavs I just don't trust . . . They don't appear to be Muscle car fans . . .

Nick, the Foreman, is a good bloke but and are tossers and were barred from our Xmas outting because they couldn't be trusted . . .

I'll keep my fingers crossed nothing happens.
