No I suspect it's an "Apple" issue

Works OK at home

Good advert but isn't it aimed at a particular ethnic group

For me the ad conrtains:

1) Fancy lit car to make it looks as menacing and spoinky as possible
2) Power and performance figures used as selling point
3) Suggestion it helps pull sexy girlies

Whole James Bond sorta thing really but with a cool car as opposed to a natty BMW...

Cool.

I do prefer the older crests, though.

The modern version is too plain, as well as inaccurate.

Indeed, I found a website that showed how it had changed over the years (damned if I can remember the address though)...

Yep, those newer Caddies are starting to grow on me . . . .

Same here. Ive never really fancied a caddy other than a late Eldo, but i quite like some of the new stuff. I kept mooching at them whilst in the states (usually followed by a poke in the ribs and a curt 'dont even THINK about it' from the wife if she saw me lookin hehe)

I've not been a fan of the 2003 on Caddy's.
They look like a Lexus and much more nondescript, not as classy either.

The new STS is no longer FWD, you can get RWD or 4x4.  So that's an improvement.  The engine has even more power (335 from 300BHP) and the interior looks pretty smart.  But I don't like the outside.
The v-series cars look pumped up and pretty evil in black.

But the STS-V (supercharged 4.4L Northstar with 470BHP) comes in at $72,000

The smaller  CTS-V (based on the same platform as the Monaro) is a lot cheaper and almost as quick and 2 year old ones are £15,000+ in the USA at the moment.
But...
1) It has a nasty interior.  There is no tree.  Just black and silver plastics.
2) The engine is a meaty 6.0L Corvette engine.  But that means it's a Chevy engine, not a Caddy engine and I'm rather partial to the Northstar.

So combine both those things and I'd feel I was drving a fake Caddy?

But it is v powerful and cheap...

I certainly can't afford to change at the moment anyway, but I'm always trying to keep an eye out for the future replacement for ther STS.  Quite fancy a 300C gangstermobile, but...  It's not a Caddy and I've grown quite attached to the wreath and crest...

I'd agree.  A Caddy has to have a Caddy heart.

Yup, I can see myself owning *cough* a few Caddies in the not-so-distant future . . . .
