got her booked into the body shop after xmas to have some bubbles around the arches, both rear quaters resprayed , and some stone chips sorted, and will treat and seal the underside and trunk

And actually, yes, I spoke to him about two-three weeks after he told you he'd started machining and he admitted that he hadn't even started it !

thats entirely up to you mate, from expireience all good motor builders are the same and a gentle reminder or progress call is always needed. I do know that chris's motor was a fill in job whilst waiting on some billet cranks for race motors and as these came in they were priority as they were previous outstanding orders.

Yeah, fair enough, but he's taking on more work and still not finishing old work.

If he can't cover his workload he shouldn't be taking orders.

I dare say Chris isn't the only one waiting for a motor from Andy.

He shouldn't take people's money up-front without comitting to a supply date.

More fool Chris for sending the payment but Andy's method of business is poor, to say the least.

Not defending andy but i would be on the phone each week asking for when it will be shipped, same as i am with the parts for the T/A. Its not a lot different to what summit have done with edge, they havnt even ordered the parts from their supplier. I guess its the way business is done in the USA. The last couple of years trying to get MAD up and running has taught me a lot about how the americans do business.

its a 318 runs fine, has Holley 650cfm 4 barrel carb with edelbrock intake and some shiny bits .  The rest is stock.


600 or 650 4 barrel carb on an edelbrock intake seems to work quite well, I've gone for an Edelbrock carb on the new engine instead of a holley though.
