Ok here's how it went:

Oil & filter change                                                        Done
Air filter change                                                           Done
Trans cooler to be fitted, fluid and filter to be changed    Done
Braded brake lines and complete fluid change                Done With a little hick-up, but got there in the end
Spark plug change                                                       wasn't even looked at
Thermostat change (this may well not happen)               wasn't even looked at
Fuel filter change                                                         Done

A big thanks to Chris, Dean, Graeme, and Shifty!!!!!!

Cheers Guys!!!!!

So, the results.....

Oil: well the oil pressure still looks a little low to me, but it now climbs with revs which it didn't do before....

Brakes: My car now screeches to a halt when I stand on the brakes, where as before it sauntered to a stop when it felt like it....
However, having jumped on the brake hard a couple of times to test it, I managed to get the wheels to lock-up.... The problem being, no ABS... Never been able to brake that hard before, so have never known if it was working....
On a side note, the condition of the brake fluid that came out of the system was appalling.... Looked like it had never been changed in the last 11 years.... Makes you wonder what people are thinking when they don't even service the things that will save their life....

Trans: After a spirited drive from Buckingham to Finmere and back, barely warm (10 mile round trip with roundabouts)... And from a warm start about 45 mins later a run from Buckingham to Brackley to Towcester to Hanslope (some 35 miles) the trans stabilised at around 160F and crept up during the slow bit at the end to 163F...... Result No more overheating
Bloody Chinese radiators....
My question now is, is running that cool going to cause any issues? I know the normal operating range for a 4L60e is around 180F to 200F...

My closing thought: Don't trust the quality of workmanship from 'Wheels in Motion'!!! When we pealed off the trans pan we were greeted with an abundance of white silicone sealant all around that gasket that they has used to plug the leaks in the gasket that they wreaked by tightening up the pan bolts to hard.... There is no excuse for this, it's just cowboy.... If you are daft enough to wreak a gasket because you like to tighten things to the point of shear, then go buy another gasket is don't do it so hard next time.... I managed it ok, so should they..... Rant over!

Amen to that !

It bound to be at least 10 cooler because of the ambient temperature outside, providing the temp is around the 160 mark I wouldn't see a problem

You may just want to give it a little more warm up time when the weather is cold

Let brakes bed it too!

The pads and rotors were changed back in April, so they are well bedded in...

To be fair we think we had a air lock as well . . .

And you mentioned nothing of the work I did re-shaping the lower section of  the nose-cone . . . .

Is there anything that can the done to  . . . revive the ABS ?

My closing thought

I agree.

Do as much to your car as you can, basically . . trust no-one !

I have a couple of simple things to check that might be the cause...

Rear D/S Snapped.

solution

Re-tapped to M10 an a temporary bolt used in place of nipple.
