this is what happens when you place axle stands too far forward..

its not as bad as it looks, and easily repaired, but its still better not to do it..

this is after the repair..

Ryan, remember i was telling you about a 92 camaro a friend in the US has, the one with the 6 speed manual, runs 12's and still returns 30+mpg and idles  / runs properly? thats the car..

if there is the epitomy of the ideal road thirdgen - this car is it..

How and why & what has happened here? I don't understand???
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Front wing looks cracked to me . . . Also the door shut line is uneven.

Frame bent ?

thirdgens (and second gens) are not at all stiff, so jacking them up badly can cause them to twist.

fortunatley, rather that te whole chassis twisting, the front panel twists, pulling the inner wings out of line. stripping the front of the car, replacing the front panel and putting it back together cures it..

apparently when you drill the spot welds out, the inner wings go BOYYYYYNG! as they ping back in line.

he said when he lowed the car onto the axle stands, he heard this terrible crunching groaning sound, and watched the door gaps close up!

See, I thought this thread would be instructions on how to, or rather how not to steal a thirdgen

Must be my mind set
