I've spoken about this before, but I've been re-inspired by the photos on this site... http://www.clintonmann.com/gallery/gallery.asp?categoryid=123\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Click Here

I'm figuring get a load of 3/4" or 1" box section and cut it up like tent poles.... weld on some (only just) larger box section sleaves so it all slots together with some quick release pins to hold it.....

get the screen made up by a sail maker out of canvas with eyelets for buggy cord to hold it tight on the frame...

chuck on some guy ropes and hey-presto a drive-in move screen...

After that, go out and buy a (now legalised) good quality low power FM transmitter and then anyone can tune in there car radio to get sound....

Just need to check the laws with regard to public showings (and find a nice loop-hole that would cover the intended use) and were sorted...

hmmmm sounds like a good idea.....

Ahh but we wouldn't be copying it - we would technically be broadcasting it so different kettle of fish!

Jamieg285

Definitely worth investigating though.

Yeah, but I think films are like music, one they are of a certain age, you no longer have to pay royalties...

I have access to handrailing tube and Key-clamp fittings . . . (free, I'm sure).

Tubes 37mm O/D . . . . Connectors are the sleeve type . . . . fixed using grub-screws . . .

Plus we wouldn't be charging money for entry/viewing so . . . . . .

Could be a plan....

Roadkill

Max tube length is 6 metres . . . but using straight sleeves you can easily segment it . . .

Titsy

yeah, it will neet to be transportable....

Hold on, shouldn't this discussion be taking place at the Fancott after we've had a few jars?

Actually, being as I'm the only one in the office, I'm sure I could get away with bring a couple of cans in - no different to a couple down the pub at lunch time - and it is a Friday!!

Just got to find a local offy.

I agree with your logic, there, Mate . . . .
