Oh.

Often quicker ratios are put into Manual steering cars . . . I would've though quicker power steering ratio boxes would just make the steering "skitish" ?

Worth a look or not? Is it the same style pump?

I think it should be the other way round.  More effort over a shorter distance to turn the wheel.

The box is from the Z28 of that year.

I don't really know how bad it is.  As I say, it's not making any funny noises yet and appears to be working as normal.  However, if it does go, I'll need a replacement ASAP as I'll have no transport.

If you can't get there don't worry, but it would certainly be helpfully if you could.

Okies, can always do a straight swap the T/A wont be doing massive mileage

Hmm . . . Yup.  You're probably right.

Only useful if the thing is seeing plenty of track action, mind you . . .

ask chris, he seem'd to be making major work last time he moved it

I'm hoping a slightly stiffer wheel action will improve the driving experience.

You would be better getting some negative camber

Yep, that's on the to-do list.  I've got a polybushed set of arms now. I just need to swap the ball joints, and then swap them onto the car.

Bottom one is, top one is riveted/bolted.  I'm going to clean the arms up and put new joints on before installing them.

I pulled the top arm/bottom arm/stub axle assembly off without separating them, hoping to be able to swap them in, but the ball joints are knackered on one side, so I figured I would swap the lot.
