Its not worth doing anything else till SFCs are fitted this is the main structure of the car,In effect ours are a super structure under the car like a spaceframe chassis. There are a few State side companies that do good SFCs but they are not "fitted" to the car so look bulky or have "bird S**T" welds because the gaps are so big.

Then set your suspension, i can get Eibach SLP Spohn or hotchkiss bilsten etc most have Lifetime garrentee on their parts.

Some companies use other makes and just badge it up as theirs with extra costs i wont name names.

Most of the bits on mine are Metco billet alloy lighter and stronger. Make sure a company is good at welding before buying their products.

My z/28 easily handles as well/better than my previous V12 XJS which had IRS suspension.

XJS have what is called a floating rack which can make the steering vague, nearly all the XJS race cars remove the floating bushes and replace them with solid bushes which changes the whole way the car drives

Ryan if you get a wonderbar get a TDS one Yearone, classic industries etc stock them as they are the best around, Spohn ones might need modding to fit as holes dont always line up. And the TDS one uses 3 bolt mounting.
Also dont get the brake system come to me and i will sort you out a better one.

Different car, but welded full length subframes made a big difference to my car.
Lower control arms (with those spherical bearings) made the wheels stay in line with the car so that was a really big difference.
Springs and shocks seem to have made a big difference (especially having seen how knackered the stock shocks were!), but I haven't pushed it much yet as it's still on, erm, 'temporary' sway bar end links.

Strut tower brace is on the shopping list. I've also got a whole load of brake parts waiting to be fitted, including braided lines. It's good to hear they help.

My shiney things buget just went up to £300... Turns out that work has been paying overtime at time rather than time and a half for the last 12 months, FOR EVERYONE, in error.

I queried my pay slip and now everyone has BIG cheques to cash... Only worked out as an extra £40 in my shiney things pot, but it all helps.... Some of the guys in production are looking at £600...
