Scuttle

Anyone know where i can get a scuttle panel for a 78 trans am? cant find anyone who produces one yet.

i think its the front bulk head or firewall hence the reason i asked for a picture

the scuttle is the area under the windscreen

is that a seperate piece then, thought it was part of the firewall

Heres the pics first one is a 70-73 not sure if they are the same.will check my Uncles T/A but i only need the bit past the windsreen not the dash part.

Search for cowl panel if you're looking on US sites.
I would also think that 70-81 F-bodies would be the same.

There are a few on ebay but didnt know for sure if they are the same.

Rocky, I have checked everywhere I can think of including Classic Industries http://www.classicindustries.com/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://www.classicindustries.com/firebird.htm who have the most comprehensive listing of Firebird/Trans Am parts I know of and no one lists the cowl panel for 78 models.

Sorry mate but i'm afraid your only option is to repair your existing one or find one in a breaker yard and cut it out.

I also checked http://www.car-part.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://www.car-part.com which is a breaker yard site with listings for the whole of North America and they don't list the part either.
