Roadkill

The pictures you need.

The sway bar looks very simple.
It looks pretty much straight in the middle and only bends slightly to meet the links.

And the plate . . . .

Style is 58-6239 EDX

Roadkill

Needless to say I need new bushes.

sixpack2639

The new bar will come with all the bushings and mounting hardware needed to install it. I believe it comes with new links also.

sixpack2639

I can get Polygraphite bushes for $25 a set to fit your old bar.

55starchief

That swaybar looks the same as the one on my 55, i looked every where to try and find a heavier duty one but couldnt. Even tried to get one made without luck

If the new bar comes with bushes that's fine.

All my old stuff will go on eBay if it's half good, if not scrapped.

'Cos I'm changing everything else . . . . AND Air Ride relies greatly on the front sway bar . . . They recommend uprating it so that's what I'm doing.

well yours looks the same as mine so i would be intrested to know where he found it

Roadkill

Kanter did them for a while but have now stopped . . . they're out there.

When It gets here we can offer it up to yours . . .

sixpack2639

Grame, they're called G-MAX sway bars. I'm getting it at http://www.p-s-t.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.p-s-t.com . They don't list one for your Poncho but that doesn't necessiarily mean they don't have one available as a lot of Chevy parts were used on Pontiac. I can ask Russ or John when I talk to them to order Dean's bar. I'm still waiting for John to let me know the part number for Dean's bar.

Roadkill

You Da' man.

If you don't mind, Carl, I'm gonna be ordering the S/S lines and sending them to yours ?
I checked with Inline tube and their shipping to the U.K was lookng silly and as the sway bar's going to be making the package(s) an awkward shape it makes sense.

Again, if it's O.K ?

Roadkill

After that a price for shipping will be terrifying a good idea.

There'll be more (engine) bits in the near future but not for a couple of months.
