wow £10,500 thats really good money.

I'd have a capri, but not that one, I don't like the body kit & spoiler
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Shifty

That is truly awesome, have a bit of a soft spot for the old capris. Nice to see such a mint un-molested one.

F Body

Looks pretty tidy

The 280 Brooklands Capri was yet another car I nearly bought, Ford were nearly giving them away because of the insurance costs

Add that to the DeLoren and Piataza Turbo Coupe and I could have made a mint

Giblets

That looks so much better in red than the normal white.

I'd probably have a black one though.

£10k seems about right to be honest as I've heard of a mint car on delivery mileage changing hands for £16k.

Thats not mint, but very very close.

Keeping it on the road would prove tough given the temptation to boot it's tail out when the turbo spools up!

I'd sooner get another 3.0S in signal orange with a vinyl roof please for half the price!

philoldsmobile

gorgeous!

ahh, memories, i used to hae a capri, it was mint too... lowly 1978 1.6 auto though

Giblets

My old girl.

Fieldy

I like the one on EBay, but couldn't spend 10k on it

Roadkill

I'd prefer the Vette parked behind and across from your Capri, there, Rafe.

Ask and I shall provideth......

Giblets

She's an original 3.0S in graphite grey metallic with a short shift 4 speed box, Caprisport suspension and springs, A-Frame handling kit, 15" Superlites and a mint fishnet interior from an early 2.8i.

To think I sold it for a mere £1600.....

and bought this instead.....

Which would have been OK were it not in a shitty state.......

philoldsmobile

thats a GORGEOUS capri rafe!

really got me hankering for another old british ford now!!!

it would be in good company, i've had a zephyr, zodiac 2 cortinas (MK2's) and a capri...

not to mention the almighty immortal chavscort!

Giblets

There was a really nice Mk2 3.0S in bright orange on ebay last year that had me drooling.

It failed to make reserve, even at £4400, it was that good.

The old square headlights were the best!

Rocky

My mum had a S capri with RS bodykit and full race burton engine and suspension, she had it for years before yobs nicked the wheels and smashed the thing to bits

Big Mouse

I had a mad 3.1 RS that nearly killed me in 1985 but I'd swap big mouse for a mint condition one of these

Mk IV Executive

One of my sisters boyfriends had one in dark blue, the first car I ever really wanted.

Giblets

Old seventies Fords really were 'the business' and far better than their yank cousins (eg the Mark 2 Mustang!)
