Why are '83 Camaros so bloody special !

Every F*ckin' time I go looking for something everyone quotes 84-92 only !!!

Why is mine so different ?

I need rear brake slave (or wheel) cylinders for my '83.

No.

I find loads of places offering '84 and newer . . . but they don't cover mine.

Is this because mine genuinely is different somehow or is it because part manufacturers are just retarded ?

philoldsmobile

its to do with the us culture of starting the model year half way through the previous year.

i'd say you should look for 82 - 84 parts, as the car was dramaticly redesigned for what was  the 85 model year, starting in mid sept 84

They're not.

ACDelco #18E228 Wheel Cylinder was used on 1982-1988 Camaro reguardless of engine size.

Acceptable replacements are

Raybestos WC37625

Wagner WC110260

Dorman W37625

Bendix 33891

Hope that helps. Carl

as far as i know there are only two types of wheel cylinder, metric and imperial, changeover was something like 86

i could never get the right ones for mine, so USauto supplied both and i returned the unused ones.

Thanks Carl, expect some in the mail sometime soon.

They're relatively rare - which surprised me . . .
