Billing........Wet Wet Wet!!! (updated!!)

Well annoyingly the weather peeps got it right - billing is fricking wet about 1 -> 2" of water in some places....

Trouble is the ground was already soaked when we got here at 12 today (I got stuck moving the caravan around and dug a 4" deep hole trying to get out - managed in the end to move thank feck!) and we have had almost none stop rain for this arvo / evening so there is loads of surface water sat around...

What i would suggest is that anyone coming make sure you bring some wet weather gear!!!!

We are going to see what happens tonight in terms of rain, but Im being honest when i say if the rain keeps coming and water keeps rising, I am giving serious thought to saying bugger it and going, cos our awning is swimming now and TBH if it keeps rising you guys will be sleep IN water....

I prob not be able to post tomorrow, but will text someone (prob Ryan) and give an update of the situation and whats going on....

I went into northampton last night straight from work to see my girly and i was stuck on the M1 from junc 14-15 for atleast 45mins becuase of the rain, it was 'my wipers have run out of speed settings ' rain..

Was still raining when i came back about 1am..

So not surprised billing looks like that.. Can imagine alot of cars are going to get stuck as most are rear wheel drive with 150+bhp lol

Well, i'm now SERIOUSLY considering not taking the IROC... or even going at all... from those Pics I'd call that flooded TBH, the level of the streams is about the sameas the puddle level which to me says that its waterlogged.

****UPDATE****

OK well it only rained once overnight, but it was uber heavy rain again

Looks much the same as it was yesterday (see pics below), so not sure what to say, call it off, come and see, wait till later....

Think plan will be leave it till midday / early arvo and see what the weather has done between now and then as currently its blue skies and sunny so could dry out a bit...but then again!!

If anyone of those who are coming and were paying for the ticket (AFAIK Dean, Sammy, Phil, Jo, Ryan, Rob & Chris) dont want to come, fair enough i totally understand, but due to me being a bit skint at the mo, i would have to say unless i can get a refund, the total of £46.00 for the ticket would still need to be split 7 ways making it £6.60 each as i just cannot afford it

I will try and speak to the gate staff later on and see what the chances are of a refund and will update someone via text and would appreciate them posting here (as i will be off to Santa Pod soon!!)

Well, I was only going as a day visitor on Sunday and I was planning on taking the Caddy anyway. Good thing as no way is my IROC going anywhere near that.

Unless it dries out I won't be going at all, not even in the Caddy.

Somewhat disappointing to say the least...

It was still muddy in places for the NSRA and that hadn't rained for a couple of days.

Think I'll wait and see. The T/A wouldn't be liking it much though.
