Yeah yeah I knows it's a Ford but I watched some great Group B rallying in 80's

Shifty

WOW what a find,

Used to have some footage of one of these peeling all the way to 125MPH through all five gears in just 7.7 seconds, sweet.

Cant say i'm a particulaly huge fan but what a piece of engineering.

HardRockCamaro

Awesome vehicle.

When the McLaren F1 came out and was in the Guiness book of World Records as the fastest accelerating production car in tghe world with aq 0-60 of 3.1 seconds someone at Ford thought "erm, hang on a a minute, drag an RS200 out of our museum, I seem to remember that was faster".
And 2 weeks later they did a 0-60 time of just 2.9 seconds wiping the McLaren out of the record book.

When Group B rallying was cancelled and they sold off the remaining road going versions they could hardly give them a way.  Now they're collectible and expensive.  Very expensive.  I've heard of them going for well over £100,000

Roadkill

Don't recall hearing of them before . . . .

Come on RK even a Ford Hater like me would have one of them, if I get time I'll post some interesting stuff about how and who built them ?

EDGE

the rs200 was one of the sweetest cars ever built.... i have a big feature in an old magazine about them, from concept to racing... very interesting..

Pod

The Ford RS200 cars were built on behalf of Ford by another company well known for its expertise in producing fibreglass bodies and three wheelers - Reliant

Basically an Austin Metro with a shoe-horned  Rover V6 engine in it - which was literally the 3.5 litre V8 with two cylinders chopped off
