looked at one of those once before, with a view to using it as an MTB hauler..

TBH, not a bad drive, but the gearbox is nasty.. not a bad pickup, but nothing exciting..

they are commercial vehicles, and the interior feels like one. all hard grey plastic, unlikely to even have carpet...

depends if those things bother you. For what i wanted one for it was perfect, but i wouldn't want one as an every day vehicle.. its kinda like a wheelbarrow with an engine..

ok, i see the carpet now, someone wanted a posh one!

nothing really wrong with them at all (ghastly gearbox asside) and i'm not knocking them, but its just a commercial vehicle, and the one i drove (albeit a couple of years older - a 92) drove like one too, choppy ride, noisy slow and crude...

if she actualy wants a pickup, then its ideal, but i reckon a mustang V6 convertible would be better..

rangers do seem a lot cheaper than S10's which seems odd to me as they are a lot more economical, and better inside (the S10 in bare bones is abysmal.)

i'd def go ranger over S10 - price for price you're gonna get a MUCH newer ranger...
