A new carpet ($120) and a couple of pots of plastic dye and the interior will be fine.
Still definitely a bargain.

depends on mileage, and is the 88 a MAP car or MAF ?

88 non-californian cars are speed density.
I can't see a MAF on the intake tube, so I'd guess it's speed density. Same as mine. Only thing it really makes a difference with is vacuum (ie cam choice).

yeah, and you can buy a ford racing kit that gives you the later ecu, harness and maf...

TBH, i've seen worse red interiors..

with a good shampoo (it looks filthy) it would be tollerable..

i believe the seats in those are recaro, so you'd probably find something from a high spec sierra or capri may fit on the runners...
