Had a knee exploratory once upon a time - they're a lot more streamlined and painless these days! Good luck.

Update :

Dad's Back Home Taking It Easy ...

There Was Alot Of Chunk's Of Cartilige Floating Around In His Knee - Which They Removed And Shaved It Back . There Was Also A Tear To The Cartilige Which Was Repaired .

Hes Not Drowsy At All ... Hes Wide Awake And In Alot Pain . He Also Was Told Not To Move His Knee For 2-3 Days

It Seems Unreal That This Morning He Was Just Limping ... And Able To Walk A Short Distance , Now He Can't Really Walk At All ! At Least Everything Is Hopefully Sorted For Him .

I Will See If We Can Get Him To The Computer , To Post ... If Not Find Some Way For It To Come To Him

Well not quite going to plan at the moment

Had to sleep on the Sofa again last night to try and reduce the pain, the knee seems fine and is giving me little pain but my calf musle just gives me constant cramp and is rock hard.
Gonna try standing a little today and see if that helps

Walking seems a long way off yet
