Won't know 'til I get on site.

i guess we could, i see no reason why not....

deano - whadda you reckon?

50x25x2.5+ RHS = 2.72 kg/m
60x40x2.5+ RHS = 3.71 kg/m.

That's why 60x40 is so much dearer . . . Also 50x25 (2"x1") is more popular, so stock holders will carry larger stocks of them . . .

50x25 would be fine . . . . My only concern is the 2.5mm(+) wall thickness . . . . Typically 3mm(+) or 3.2mm(+) are more suitable for welding and are still both lighter sections compared with 60x40x2.5.

We need 30m mate, i can get a price localy if you like or you can see what your guy can do.

Have spoken to a mate of mine who's a welder and if we get it cut and tacked on saturday he will weld it sunday for a case of carling

Roadkill

Lead time, for me would be the problem . . . .

I could probably get it, but to get it cheap, it would have to be delivered by my supplier (he's in Sussex), not courrier . . . . . To ask him to do this at short notice would be taking the P!ss a tad.

Next weekend could be a possibility . . . . .

Ok mate no worries, will source it localy. Once we have the frame we can get your guy to quote for the diamond plate, was thinking 6mm for the top and 1.2 for the sides etc

Roadkill

As far as the checker goes we could get it pre-cut OR we have an Evo-Saw (like a Circular saw but for metal) which'll cut it.

The only problem with the Evo saw is it's always on site so would need notice to get that.

55starchief

The plan was to get the frame done this weekend, my folks are away so i can do it in the garage where i know i have power aswell as a bandsaw

Yup

Fek, shows what "having accounts" does, then.

So:

£93.24, then ?

No probs mate, dont need to many people at this stage

FUBAR

I'm around all weekend and so is Phil.

Graeme, if we are working both days any chance of staying at you're place saturday night? apart from it meaning the working hours could be a bit more flexible it would save Phil a whole trip to bedford & back...

+ we could watch some films
