Some times its a good choice to have a chase vehicle mate, the chavscort is worth its weight in gold

philoldsmobile

damn right, and skodas / kia / proton are good choices for this...

i am coverd, because should the astro fail, there is the camaro, should that fail, there is the tahoe, should that fail,, there is the GPZ, should that fail, there is the bandit..

should all those fail, there is my saracen mountain bike.. if all these options fail, i'm going back to bed!!!

55starchief

Philo,
Can you get the bolts to fix the checker down.

M8x40 mushroom head hex key in stainless steel

philoldsmobile

55starchief

really dont see ya raising the temp in the tent by 2 degrees,
let alone the 5 you thought graeme,
how much fuel are ya gonna use with all the losses involved,
a lot of work, when ya could plug in an electic fan in two mins and get great results
i await to be proven wrong!

Must admit I'm sceptical but -

55starchief

OK

To heat the tent to a room temp of 23C we would need 6500BTU

The single Rad i have has a max output of 2000 BTU @60C

We will not be running at 60C more like 90C so the small rad we have should be fine to keep the temp around 5-10C

Roadkill

I understand the theory, Mate.

Fingers crossed it works in practise.

55starchief

That calculation was made for worst case scenario. totaly un insulated building etc

art b

cool, will be good to see how it works .
well if we dont try we will never know,
10 /10 for the idea

I can hear the cries of "SHUT THE DOOR!!" already!
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Jamieg285

I'm waiting for phase 2 - roof insulation

55starchief

I am pretty sure it will be enough to make the tent comfortable. I reckon the water is gonna be close to boiling depending on the speed of the pump and the length of the pipe work leading to the tent. If the BBQ is fired up at 6pm we rarely say godnight before 12pm so thats 6 hours of water being heated and circulated. If we stoke the BBQ last thong with some colite it should go over night
