ok then i will get a price on a sheet of the thinest available and get it cut into 4" strips, philo can bend them up for corner protection and whats left can be used along the bottom and for other trim areas

Just looked back over the thread, 3mm checker is £78+VAT a sheet

looks like it will have to be steel checker or S/Steel sheet folded

Time mate, also no welder avialbale and no steel. The chassis had to be finished at the weekend.

We still need to fold corner protectors as the sheeting isnt good enough to leave raw edged. \we had to fudge one side to get it square

Got 2 (Evo) Blades in the back of the chav'scort, Graemey.

They're for steel, but go through ally O.K . . .

I'll see if I can find proper Ally ones in the unit . . . .

Philo, we will need to go for steel checker for the corner protectors as ali is to expensive. Might get it powder coated black to match the tank

it will be 3mm o/p mate so shouldnt be a problem. Need to call and see the cost of getting it cut first

could you get any thinner? 3mm is a git to bend, due to the tonnage requered, it leaves an impression of the blade on the chequer..
