add a further piece to span the gap (mid point of the long side - parallel to the short side.

The bracing you've added isn't parallel to either side !

Not sure, i'd quite like to get there this weekend to get the battery back on the car.  + dependant on Road Saltyness I might drop it off the stands & run it into Brackley.

That's it.

One  thing, though . . what are the legs a) made from and b) sitting on ?

The leg in the middle isn't well-placed . . .  I'd suggest a four or six-legged design . . .

FUBAR

Quoting: Roadkill

I think Ian was thinking the same angle steel as the rest

The concrete base i'd imagine.

I'd guessed the same.

Makes sense - in that case it'd be a ball-ache putting one in the middle.

I'd leave it at four and see how it goes . . .

This weekend or Next?
I'm not sure if Ian will let me borrow the Avensis 2 weekends in a row

NB. I've not ordered the hinge yet, been too busy during working hours.

Couple of small jobs done today:

- Sorted the Rear lights wiring in slit loom & fixed it up out the way so its not trailing around on the floor of the cargo space.
- Resealed the inside of the cargo space 'roof' and sealed round the heating pipes, hopefully this is now nicely waterproof again.
- Sorted through the contents of the cargo space & got rid of some of the pointless stuff.
- Replaced some of the weatherstripping on the rear door.

No piccies today, didn't see the point.

I know what will work, but I don;t know what its called so I can;t find it on the net.

Basically we need a smaller version of the contact plate that the 3rd gen camaro uses to power the 3rd brake light when the boot is closed.

This: (but smaller & with the other side of it too)

Mount something like that at the top of the door so it connects when the door is put on & locked in place.  Job done
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...
