Yep thats cool.

I've been out in the garage this evening for a while with a drill & wire wheel (friendly one, not evil angle gringer one) "brushing" the hinge, looks cool

Today was productive, we got the stainless ending strips in place on the Lid, and managed to get the lights & electrics sorted for the rear door except 1 part which was delayed by having to wait for stuff to dry & we ran out of daylight.

We did however run into 1 problem... a whole host of blunt/snapped drillbits so the hinge isn't yet fitted because we ran out of the ability to drill holes in Stainless

that'll be finished for next weekend.

BTW the Lid looks cool with the stainless on it

I've got the bits to make a new handle today, was cheaper than the previously suggested idea and will definately be up to the job. And its still wood too no worries about heat transfer.

ooo sounds good !!

FUBAR

Well today was a very productive day, everything went without a hitch... literally:

As we discovered that the problem with the brakes was the piston/hitch assemblly was basically worn out completely, so we need a whole new one.  Ian has some ideas on this for finding out about a 2nd hand one, Does anyone else know anyone breaking a caravan or trailer??

But the big step today was the tank is now done, hinge fitted, with all 38 of its bolts (reckon thats enough), new handle fitted with nice fabricated brackets.  These are curtain rail mounts again but these are so over engineered for that task its unbelievable!! which makes them perfect for our application

I think you'll agree it looks Mega cool

It was also kinda cool, building this industrial looking thing again, using an angle grinder & listening to Rammstein... was very, um, German LOL
