I think the NightHawks were 750cc & 1100cc Phil.

The 400cc was just a basic bike.

ahh, i was under the impression all the CB range were nighthawks.. cirtainly the newer CB 250 is a nighthawk but thats a totaly different bike......

honda named the CB range so many different things in different markets, us models were a lot more 'custom' look

the Honda CB400 in the US was just called the hawk, and is not the version i posted.. this was the superdream in the UK

i rode a 750, 4 honda night hawk in cyprus 2001 bike

..and it was fast as fook.......100 mph with no helmet is wierd,
stopped to put the lid on which was on the rack,optional helmet cant do that here.....

in some ways thats a shame, i bet people would ride a lot slower without them..
oddly in  the stats in the US without helmet laws, speeding is less common among bikers, but head injuries are no higher..


i guess the old adage is true, you cant over govern people.. must admit, i ride faster with  leathers on because i don't feel quite as vulnerable, wearing jeans I'm constantly aware of the consequences of coming off...
