Had a nice ride out to the Ace Cafe with Art B & PhilO
We then joined the MCN ride out group with a Police escort onto the North Circular

A lot of Bikes :

The weather was very warm and the traffic in central London was very slow so my Honda decided to do a very good impression of a boiling kettle and dump it's coolant onto the road
We all stopped ( sorry lads ) and let the old girl cool down whilst Art went to buy some water.
It only took 1/2 a small bottle to top up the coolant but after rejoining the traffic she just didn't like being stationary in wall to wall traffic.
So we didn't make it to the final parade, but I can recommend the Ace Cafe's Bacon Butty's and Hot Chocolate ( Thanks Art ).

So the Boy's agreed when we were sat on the roadside that from this point on, the Honda shall be known as " The Kettle "

Came back home no problem once she got a bit of air though the radiator.

service in the ace was awesome today, we got there early for a bacon sarnie and a hot choc, and it took less than 5 mins from order to eating!

incredibly, that was the first time i've ever been to the ace (traditionaly a biker venue) on a bike!! ditto for both art and Martyn!

Motorama

always have the Chilli, Chips and Cheese when i go to the Ace

philoldsmobile

ahh, the ring of fire..

great thing about the ace is the variety. most people these days are not one trick pony's, and have a variety of interests, yesterday, aside from the bikes, there were some old fords there, another passion of mine!

Been checking the workshop manual and it's a self bleeding system with a metal impeller on the pump, which also has a tell tale drip hole if the pump goes AWOL.
Sometime this week I'm gona try shorting the thermostat out and seeing if that kicks the fans in, it does I'm gona wire a fan over ride switch in
