in the war between cutting disc on angle grinder, and soft squidgy flesh, angle grinder wins... ouch!

its about 10mm deep and a fair chunk of flesh and nail missing..

Must have been one of those days, just after lunch I was dealing with an Employee who thought it was a good idea to put a cut across his forearm about 2" long but about an inch deep

Took em about an hour to clean the blood trail up

That does look tender !

this didn't bleed initially ( the heat quartised it) but half an hour later it was bleeding like crazy..

i politely declined a trip to hospital, thinking i'd loose pay, and later found out that i would have been paid anyway, as it was on work time!

It would have been ten times worse if he was wearing gloves

The glove material wraps around the wheel and it tears the glove and your finger off, I've seen this twice and it isn't pretty

If drilling or grinding take your gloves off

ive got some leather hide gloves i use. [sometimes]

spinning discs on grinders go on for ever,

cant they have brakes like battery drills...?

the grinder was on not spinning down. being southpaw i turn it on with my finger, not my thumb, i turned it on, and my finger slipped off the switch, right onto the cutting disc.
