What are the options out there for a yank truck with a diesel engine and a manual tranny?

I cant really find that much available out there apart from the occational 80.5ltr Cummings ram..

Just wondering really................

One of my mates has a 2002 Ram with Cummins diesel and manual tranny. He moved here from Iowa. The truck is set up for sled pulling and has a massive reciever hitch that takes 3 draw bars!

This kind of sled pulling.

Quite a high percentage of the Cummins powered Dodge Ram 2500's and 3500's are manual trans. The manual trans is better for towing, stronger and has more ratios.

yeah, i've seen a lot of diesel manual dodges... Chrysler quality (or lack of) and the rather unrefined nature of yank diesels would make me want a decent test drive first though..
