TBH I only noticed because when they are 1cm apart & they don't line up its very obvious, on different cars you'd never tell

dude, its your car and you only just noticed!!!!

FUBAR

no i'd noticed before as its bugged me for ages, i'd just never thought that it could be a different door from a later car, makes me wonder what happened to the old one...  probably dissolved

Might also explain at least some of the reasoning behind the car getting re-sprayed... next time I have the door cards off i'll try & see if there's any overspray colouring on the inner bits

the car being built in california is all the reason it needs for a respray..

i seriously doubt there is a cali car out there in its origional paint...

mine was painted by lenn lyall chevrolet, in 1988 under warranty...

hmm, yes and no... yes, its not good, but no, for a good welder like rocky, thats not going to be a particularly difficult repair..

FUBAR

Hopefully not, it looks worse IRL,  After that & the floor are fixed there's no more major rust worries left on the car AFAIK apart from the Panel on the rear arch, & that can wait until re-spray time.

Seen some nice colours .

Please don't tell me they involve matt black

Roadkill

No.  The Caddy's going a (baring in mind i'm slightly colour blind so this is how I'd discribe them) :-

A "Midnight" blue body.  ie. Dark Blue without a hint of anything.
The Roof will be "Off" White or white.  (Basically a little less creamy then it already is.
