I have craked the ECM open and it looks like nothing more than the EPROM being knocked out of its holder. I will Beat the case back into shape so next week end we can try once again to interrogate it

Considering the car was arriving around 9am and it gets dark at 5pm it looks like you got well stuck in.

Remind me notto leave my car parked over night in MK

ianjpage

lol yeah car arrived just before 9 as Graeme and the guys picked the tools up from his parents at 9am so we were going on it for a full 8 hrs and stripped it right down!!

Will post the pics ASAP once i find either my memory card reader or the cable for me camera (damn house moving packing things away lol!)

Very fun day as well as productive!!

55starchief

Yup it doesnt take long to strip a car

Roadkill

It was a blast.  Been a couple of years since I've demolished a car like that . . . Surprisingly no parts, AFAIK, were damaged in removal, either*

*except the slave cylinder (I needed that).

pretty sure its the same one on your car mate

Roadkill

Looks different, but no biggie.

We discovered that the clutch is toast so a new centerforce is needed, methinks.

55starchief

yoiu might find that you can use a hydraulic release bearing instead of the clutch fork

Hmm, their clutches sound good . . . they do a kit which included an ally flywheel.

Worth considering if the motor's out.
