Wouldn't have thought you'd need 7.2 million pixels ?

All my web shots are taken using a 2 million pixel credit card sized casio

You'll pay top dollar for Sony as well

I only two issues with it, one because of it's tiny size the flash is very poor and it hasn't got a zoom lens

Umm they do zoom versions now

Casio Exilims are great.  I have a 3 year old one and it kicks arse.

They're small, thin, well made and can be used fully automatic or you can use one of over 30 preset settings (sunset, portrait etc) to get a slightly better picture, or you can even put them on full manual and do whatever you want when you learn how.  They also make great movies and the battery lasts for several hundred shots.

The Casio EX-V75 is available for, Argos for £99 so well within your budget but if you can stretch it I'd suggest  spending a little more to get more zoom and an image stabiliser.

The newer Casio Ex-V7 is available for around £135 online.
7 million pixels, image stabiliser (to stop camera shake), 7x OPTICAL zoom and so on.

The latest version of this is the Ex-V8 (yay V8!) and gives you 8 million pixels and some minor improvements.  This is available for about £170 online.

Here is a review of the Casio Ex-V7 by a proper photographer who has several high end (read thouysands of pounds worth) of high end cameras.  He has one and loves it.

brought this. not a bad price , It comes with a 512md xd memory card as well. Its a cheap one that the wife can use to get the hang of and then i'll get something a bit better

It seems to have good reviews

Fuji make excellent digital compacts.

I had one prior to my Casio and loved it.
In fact, I still have it in a drawer somewhere...

It's only 2 megapixels but the pictures off it are far better than the 5mp pictures off my SE K850i camera phone or the N95. Some camera phones (eg the ones listed) are very good, but only in bright light and stationary subjects.
I always have a sinking heart when I see people taking pics with camera phones of important events, particularly indoors or of action.  They're full of enthusiasm doing it and then they look at the screen to see what they've got and almost always look disappointed.
