Change of email address for me !

Just a heads up . . . . BT are disconnecting me today - so I loose my email addresses . . . .

As yet, being a n00b, I don't have anything else set up until Ian can kindly come over and finishing hooking me up with my Sky Router thingy.

Might be easiest to setup a gmail one as then it dont matter what yer ISP (provider) is and you can still use Outlook to get the mails!!!

Paypal / ebay etc - just need to change email, they send you a confirmation and you click the link!

Just type google mail into google...

By registering for a gmail account, you can use other things like google documents, file storage etc etc..  This is all online free software, kind of like an online MS Word, you type a letter, its saved to your account, then you can access that letter by logging into your account from any computer anywhere..  

As a side note, you can further shorten your email address by just putting RK@gmail.com instead of RK@googlemail.com fyi..

If BT are any good, they wont stop your email address strait away.  Virgin kept my emails coming a good month or so after I switched, which gives you time to swap all your paypal and ebay type things.

Ofc, you'll need net access to get them.

About a fiver a year depending on exchange rate.

Just pick whateveryoulike.com or .co.uk or whatever and then buy the email forwarding to go with it for another £3 or so a year

I would then send an email to you at

whateveryouwant@yourdomainname.com

And it would be automatically forwarded on to your actual email account which might be

youraccount@gmail.com

But I wouldn't know that, I'd just see whateveryouwant@yourdomainname.com as being your email address...
