Erm how did ya get that...

1.03 per litre

3.785411 liters per gallon (US)   (FYI 4.54609 liters per gallon (UK). )

So 1.03 X 3.785411 = £3.89897333 per US Gallon

£3.89897333 conveteed to USD using 1gbp = 2.01 USH comes to...

$7.86764116 USD

EDGE

im using uk gallons... as that's what we buy, but yeah, it is bigger than a US gallon.... i'd love to know why too....

well apparently
A Imperial (UK) gallon is legally defined as 4.54609 litres (~277.42 cu in), which is about 1.2 U.S. liquid gallons. This definition is used in the United Kingdom, and is based on the volume of 10 pounds of water at 62 °F. (A U.S. liquid gallon weighs about 8.33 pounds at the same temperature.)

So im guessing it has something to do with our location on the planet and the equator etc

we can do something we can educate the masses that its not the fault of the oil companies but the government. with 33 million drivers and an election coming up thats a lot of votes

Fieldy

but dude....the next government will keep it up, it's one of their biggest and easiest incomes....

If you were coming to power, you wouldn't drop it if it was worth millions in tax revenue to yourself and your whole party.......

If anything, say David Cameron ever got to power, he would use it as A 'green tax' saying how we don't need to drive.......

I might be wrong though.....
