Just to warn you all of an ebay timewaster.  An Anthony Corbett ebay name Antspark81  won the auction from my car from eBay.

After much mucking around attempting to get him to Swindon to collect the car and him requesting unreasonable times of the day ie most people work during the day.  We eventually agreed to take it our place of work, bearing in mind we live 55 miles from where we work.  Having finally getting him and the car in the same place at the same time he proceeded to waste half hour of our time deciding he didn't want the car and completely ignored the fact that we had driven it at our expense to meet him.

To put it mildy he's lucky he is not eating through a straw right now!!!!

So if this person bids on any car you are selling - BEWARE!!

Thankfully I've been lucky with eBay . . . but there's a lot of F*cking idiots out there.

Glad it sold, though.

Thats why i list my stuff as classified ads most of the time, the auction process seems to attract messers. With a classified, they know the price and come and view if interested

On the other hand i won a Dodge Dakota on an Ebay auction a couple of weeks ago, drove 70 miles to collect it to find it bore no resemblance to the guys description, it was full of filler, looked it had been painted by a four year old and the back axle was shot. I walked away from the truck and the guy's now calling me a timewaster, when it's the other way round.

I would've done the same thing as you mate, but she was accurately described on ebay and the things that needed bringing to anyones attention was listed on the auction.

He was just not interested in the car and only came to view and tire kick.  We are now looking into eBay to see if there's anything we can do.

You should be able to get the final value fee back but other wise what can you do. If someone doesnt want the car i guess you cant make them buy it. I suppose you have to try again hoping next time you get a serious buyer, the shows are starting soon which is good way to get a car seen

He's only done that as some sort of justification as to why he turned down the car - trying to cover his own ar$e.

reply to the neg feedback ,by saying it sold straight away to the next genuine bidder...." second chance offer"

that will make him look like a time waster....

if he bought the car via ebay, he's legally bought it.. you can peruse him through the small claims court as an ebay bid is a binding contract to buy the car..

people soon de-register if they are pursued for non payment,
by the time you got it to court it would be to late, no doubt the tw@t has no money anyway....

just one of the problems with dealing with some of the plebs that make up joe public...
