Well the truck failed its MOT this morning - with a fairly long list:
- Washer jets not working (fixed one the other day and typical the other one blocked now!)
- Headlamp not working right (bad earth - i fixed it but was fecked again this morn)
- Headlamp aim too low
- Reg plate bulb not working
- N/S/F, N/S/R & O/S/R tyres need replacing (Not going to be cheap!!)
- Front pads need replacing
- Front Discs need replacing (warped) (Not cheap either!)
- Handbrake / rear brakes below minimum effieciency (Hope i can adjust the rear drums !)

Not going to be a quick or cheap fix on this me thinks

For pads and discs I'd recomend JW racing - they tend to be cheaper then US Auto but check them both.

Pads and discs should only take a morning to do.  I don't mind helping.

Brake adjustment, as always, we be a pig but is free at least.

If the tyres and brakes are really that bad, and they must be if Andy failed em, they should be fixed.

safety and all that...

55starchief

Indeed if the old bill pull you its gonna cost you a lot more in points and fines

Oh yeah goes without saying if they that bad then need fixing sooner rather than later (and they were gunna get done anyhow juss didn't realise how bad they obviously are!)

Titsy

Never scimp when it comes to brakes and tyres... You wouldn't drive off without your seat belt, right??? So why skimp on the thing that's going to keep you on the road and stop you when you need to stop....

Note :

I was speaking to the station, not to let the GMC off, but to take into consideration the difficulty/time in sourcing parts for American cars.
