its dark-ish green metallic..

That is a lot cooler than the old blue one ( not that RK will notice )

Is that a tow bar socket we can see

Rob

I'm curious, Is that the original reg or has it been transferred...?

Dealership car with JTD (Fiat Diesel Reg) in the Reg...

philoldsmobile

nope, thats the origional reg. tis a coincidence though. Days are an independant specialist rather than a franchise, although they are alfa romeo / fiat approved.

this was one other problem with the lexsux - i had absolutely no idea where to take it if anything went wrong. With the alfa i can take it to days, and get a courtesy car, so need never be without transport. i also know their rates are reasonable (£45 an hour inc VAT for alfa, £39 for fiat) andtheir work is top notch.

funny how different people see things differently - you thought the lexus was better looking - to me it was a slab sided jelly mould, with no style at all, and bloaty proportions, quite ugly..

viva la difference!

FUBAR

Looks pretty good that I'm still not a fan of the front view and don't think i ever will be TBH but at least this one has come from a reputable source, and being the ex-boss' car it will be well looked after whenever it goes back to that dealership for work.

+ with the V6 it'll be quicker than the last one too, especially on the M1...

lots of torque, not mind warpingly fast, but brisk enough (quicker than the stang though) but its just such smooth effortless power, from nothing right up to the red line.

and it sounds sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

red line

Watch out, PhilO - rev those Alfas too much and the pistons explode !

Most cars have rev limiters to stop that but . . . . . .

EDGE

rev limiter = electrical there frore probbaly broken....

we can all rest happy now... the last alfa DID indeed die of electrical poblems

i know i know ;)

See i prefer the blue colour...
But then I'm not keen on the Camaro green either, or the red for that matter

ianjpage

as i said mate, looks nice, lets hope that it is in as good condition as it appears and it lasts longer than the other alfa!!!

Yep, and on Alfas new clutch = new flywheel, too.

It all makes sense in Italy, I'm sure.

Motorama

With cars like this i cant see the point of paying top dollar for a minter that will go depreciate like a stone and go wrong.

Surely you'd be better buying an average one for cheap money, ragging the ass off it till it breaks, and then throwing it away

Hehe, that's what PhilO did!

Ignoring what he spent fixing it up, just the purchase price (£1,400?) vs the lifespan (a month?) is grim reading!

I don't think ragging the ass off a fragile car band is adviseable no matter how much you paid for it, it's pretty much instant death...

Yer my Escort was uber good too...  Just needed welding, that let it down..
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

philoldsmobile

yup, with an italian car, but the best you can and treat it properly, otherwise things go south VERY quickly..

HardRockCamaro

Chavscorts for the win.

No wonder Ford sold a gillion of them...
