Dodge officially announced today that the base model Challenger SE would start at just $21,995, which includes $675 for destination charges. Just to refresh your noodle, the Challenger SE is the base model and comes with a 3.5L V6 producing 250 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque

The next best Challenger is the R/T model, which Dodge says can be had with a 370-hp 5.7L HEMI V8 starting at $29,995 ( £15k )Finally, the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 that's already been on sale for a year will get a hefty $2,000 bump in its starting price from $37,995 to $39,995 ( £20k )

Funny how the relaunched "classics" (Mustang, Camaro and now Challenger) are all looking not a million miles apart and all taking styling cues from the 60s muscle/pony cars. Not a bad idea.

im a little bit bored of it already tbh

Looks quite nice in the pic, would have to see it in the flesh to really decide if I like it

Take A look at A Vauxhall Corsa, then see which one you prefer still.....

The thing is Steve, myself and you both prefer the actual old motors, and mostly dislike new cars due to the lack of character (we are not alone....)

Well, £11k for the v6 over there would equate to about £18,000 by the time it got here and registered and any conversion work done.

The V8 R/T would come in at around £23,000 and the SRT8 about £29,000

It's a great looking car but I think it might be a few years late.
Missed the huge hype over the new Mustang, plus petrol's getting so expensive more and more people are looking at buying smaller cars, not hefty big V6's and V8's.

Ironic that they try and answer the "lack of character" thing about new cars by....copying cars 40 years old and ending up with several cars which end up looking similar. Maybe character is only something you mostly get in older iron anyway.

I suspect these cars (current/new Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Cadillac CTS-V) will be the last new "muscle" cars we'll see for a very long time given the petrol situation and downsizing...

im sure they will end up eventually,
like the yanks in cuba.....with a diesel engine ,running on used chip fat...
