Just wondered who everyone belonged to (other than here I mean)?

Rob

None now.

Was with AACUK....for insurance purposes only

Amey

Currently member of AVO

Have been a member of AACI - not sure if still am or not (must double check)

HardRockCamaro

None.

I was a member of a couple of other clubs.

I wasn't getting value out of the membership as I don't go to the events (just local meets) any show discount was only for ppl making a weekend of it (I only go for the day) and the discounts were hardly ever with suppliers I use.  (I did make use of it a couple of times with USAuto but their prices are so high to begin with...)
I have zero interest in club newsletters as I feel with the interweb they're pointless.

As they offer me nothing of value I don't bother...

ianjpage

Currently with AVO and AACUK  (AACUK as get insurance discount, parts discount and discounted camping tickets)

Have been member of the MOCGB in the past as well (lapsed as not got a stang )

Member of the AACI in the past, likewise dunno if still current or not.

Thats about it really....

Oh MKB of course, although technically not a membership based club hehe

art b

member of the nissan skyline owners club.
well i got over £200 of the daft insurance on the skyvan,
and a lapsed/disgruntled member of the old acci.....

Yawn...........Big club politics = Big pain in the ass !

I used to be Bedfordshire Rep for the ACCI but got fed up with the politics

I support myself and any of my friends who may or may not belong to any other club they wish

Some of them even drive Fords

Thanks Peeps. Just interested to see what peoples' opinions were - not one for club politics either. Just wondered as Sureterm, who I insured with last year, had asked if I belonged to any "as you would get a discount". They didn't say which one though. Maybe it doesn't matter...

Fieldy

AVO - Only club, but mainly on the forum, other than the actual club side I guess.....

Ask them which ones they recognise....

Fin

Currently not a member of any club. Have not been for 18 months or there abouts as I refused to get involved with all the shite that was happening back then.

I am a life long sponsor of the Reliant Owners Club And I give discount off the things I sell to many clubs

Jo

Hmm think were with the AVO, but thats it were with the AACI but quit due to politics... just happy having fun spending time with great freinds who enjoy the same interests.

nick69

Im not a member of any club anymore. My membership expired on the AVO the other week. Its worth nothing anymore, discounts are usless if you order from the US.

Flip Martian

Thanks to all for the responses.

Funny, even before I bought my Camaro, my mate was telling me about all the politics and rubbish going on in the AACI. Not seen anyone with a good word for them...

I think I will indeed give Sureterm a ring and see what they say - and how big the discount is...

philoldsmobile

oddly enough, i get a discount on my Alfa Romeo insurance because i am in the AVO.... apparently being in a club, any club gets you a discount, as it means you must be an 'enthusiast' and thus more likely to take care of your car..

Hell you don't even have to join, most vendors just ask if your a member and wouldn't bother to check any membership number you supplied if asked

Motorama

I joined the AACI about 4 years ago, comes in handy for cheaper insurance, discount on parts and letters for the DVLA and insurance companies.

I joined AMVO a couple of years ago as i though they were a decent bunch.

Also a member of the Pre50 AAC, being a member gets me in free to the Rally of the Giants show at Knebworth
