Am I the only one who doesn't actually like these things ?

They're alright, in an ugly kinda way but I'd never dream of actually buying one.

I can't think of one redeeming feature . . . .

Surprisingly the brushed S/steel finish is one of the major problems, it's really hard to stop dirt staining it
So much so that many owners actually had the car primered & painted like a conventional car

" all DMC-12s left the factory uncovered by paint or clearcoat.[5] Painted De Loreans do exist, although these were all painted after the cars were purchased from the factory.
Small scratches in the stainless steel body panels can be removed with a non-metallic scouring pad (since metal pads can leave iron particles embedded in the stainless steel which can give the appearance of the stainless "rusting"), or even sandpaper "

i work with brushed stainless all the time, and it is indeed a bitch for finger prints.

the best solution is a cloth lightly damped with warm water, and hand soap.
