I bloody hate threads with loads of pics... you're trying to read the new posts at the bottom of the page

True the best way is post the pictures as thumbnails, you just click on the thumbnail to see the large picture

It's quite easy to edit the post and just add the extra "s"

I actually ment that comment more sarcastically / jokingly than it came out...

Yeah, Sarcasm doesn't really work in written form... you have to augment it with smilies...

What kind of condition are they? Any rust? Pictures? If they are in good condition, how much would you be looking for?

Wondered what vzi was

From Google " The VZi Forums ( Volkszone ) are designed for adults only and will contain a certain degree of harsh language and other adult orientated material. We are only informing you of this so that you do not stumble in here by accident and take extreme offence "

Bought a rear bench seat at Dubfreeze (First show of the season.. I say show but its more of a warehouse with parts) that is actually in great condition, minus any brackets - although easially added.

Tidied up the base frame by wirewheeling any rust then putting a nice protective coat of the POR15 (yes I should be sponsored by POR15 I am using that much   )

Trial fitted it. Really comfordable and looks awesome for its age - I was told by the previous owner that it was from a Splitty, I figure it has been recovered at some point.

On to the rear load area.

Scabby! After wirewheeling there were a few holes near the tailgate.

Covered with a good coat of - ALL TOGETHER NOW - POR16........... I mean 15..  :cooter:

(Copied and pasted from my project blog on the early bay forums - AndyVan is fairly well known).

Welding and respray date booked for June 1 with the awesome Andy-van in South Wales! So now its a big push to get it all cleaned and prepped ready for Andy to work his art.

Its annoying when you want to work on your bus but your daily driver breaks.

OSF Coil Spring snapped - common issue with the MkII Ford Mondeo apparently..

Anyway, so far left before it goes to Andy Towers..
    * Cut lower clip - wire-wheel area behind ready for Andyvan to make solid
    * More work on the engine bay with grinder - still not happy with it
    * Make tidy rectangle in engine bay for AV to weld new plate in (where dodgy plate was before)
    * Continue working on chassis - lots of grinding still needed here    - again get it clean enough for AV to weld in the new chassis components = solid bus!
    * Wiring loom strip out and fabricate a new copy

Wiring is a mess - would no rely on this at all.. So im making a new loom  :?

New roof section ready to go on or have parts picked from it..

Yep your right as its probably the section that has the most stress put on it to keep the top halves' shape. Im not sure how Andyvan is going to tackle it, he may put the whole section on or he may pick bits from it patching the old section.. He has many years of experience and I will be interested to see what he does..
