Not much meat left at the top left hand side of the left door, Art !

Also, 'LOL' at your Dog taking a p!ss at the exact moment you took the pic.

Good stuff. Can never have too much space.

You'd have even more space If I took the Dart of yer hands

the doors are 20+ yrs old,[came from a hotel demo in coventry]
and surprisingly well built with dowels in the corners,

i did wait for the dawg...

the dart has a new shifter cable fitted and has been driving in and out of its lair....

A little side project that I've been working on was a throw-back to "the great flood / burst pipe of 2010".

The cupboard under the sink took the brunt of the water and was never the same after.

A few months ago I decided enough was enough and emptied the cupboard . . . .

In typical "me" fashion, that's how it was left until last week when I gutted the rest by removing the bowed shelf and buggered back panel.

http://s30.photobucket.com/user/Roadkill-Auto/media/Mini%20Projects/IMAG0921_zpsad2200ba.jpg.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">

A quick clean with thinners (really) and good scraping to get all the old silicone off and I was left with this . . .

http://s30.photobucket.com/user/Roadkill-Auto/media/Mini%20Projects/IMAG0946_zps4ccfa880.jpg.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">

It was always designed as a "heavy duty" cupboard so I'd put plenty of support timbers underneath.  The new plan was much as the old . . put my jack, vice and axle stands in there . . . except now I have two jacks and the second is massive.

I need something to protect the lower surface and generally hide the previous damge and add some pimp'ness.

1.5mm brushed stainless (I love my job sometimes).  Pimperific !

http://s30.photobucket.com/user/Roadkill-Auto/media/Mini%20Projects/IMAG0951_zpsa420fd90.jpg.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">

So, now it's re-populated . . . I don't need the upper shelf anymore (thanks to the new sheds) so it makes getting the stuff in/out a lot easier !

Job done.

The garage is a little tidier, now, too.

I'm dusting this project off (again) as it's time to MODIFY !!!

One job inter-connects with another, meaning somethings have to change whether I want them to or not.

Cryptic ?

Yeah, a bit.  The concrete ramps outside the garage door have now gone (I'm gutted about this as they were perfect for doing servicing . . occasionally) but the trade-off will be a shiny new, flat block-paved driveway (gone is the gravel).

This means that the knock-on effect will mean the nice, relatively warm raised floor in the garage will be coming out this week as the Cadillac is currently homeless (had to get her out the garage before the ramps went).

This isn't as easy as it sounds, either, as the raised floor went in the garage before EVERYTHING else . . . so all that was built in there was put on top of this floor.

Should be interesting . . especially as I have zero budget at the moment.

So I'm going to be building a shed . . or two. Or maybe even three but probably just two.

Quoting: Roadkill on 13/08/13
Actually one.

Hahaha, just re-read that, too . . There were actually two sheds built in the end.

wow that didn't take long - but guess you got the work sorted

it's not too much of a bugger to do!

My driveway is now all finished . . . I just need a couple of dry days so I can finish putting the fine sand down . . I spent 3 hours doing it on Saturday but after the rain on Sunday, it'd benefit a second go before parking cars on it.

The Caddy's back home, albeit on the front garden.

The first 16-foot of the garage floor (the original raised section) has been removed meaning I still need to - somehow - gain an extra 2-3 foot more to park the Caddy in there again.

That'll be fun.

I'll post some piccy's soon.

The original garage floor is crap, massively out so will need extensive screeding when money allows . . for now I'm just concentrating on making enough room for the Caddy to go back in.

Roadkill

Yeah, I know.

Problem is it's dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I get home !

Not good for taking pictures.

I didn't do anything last night . . . really must get something done this evening . . .

EDIT - Here's some from last week, though -

I wish.  No, I made them a (stupidly high) offer but they still intend to keep it to store old furniture / crap in.

I'll probably end up buying their house if they move, change the boundaries, then re-sell the house without the garage . . . probably work out cheaper that way !

I did their side of the driveway effectively for free . . . but it'll benefit me in the long run.

It's a long story (which I can't go into, here).

As most people do.

What a plan!!

They actually own the strip of land on the right of that picture, in front of the fence with the trees on it, too . . . . . If it were me - I'd claim it and use it . . . them, they just cut the hedge back once every few years . . . ?

I don't get some people.  I've expanded to the furthest reaches of my boundary lines to get the most out of my property and plot.

It frustrates me, seeing so much land being wasted, especially when there's a garage on it (or room to park a car, at least) !!!

One day . . .

I actually think you have done really well with what is a small plot of land (no offence).

Yeah, the double garages near me are filled with crap. I know not everyone is into cars, but you would think they would keep them tidy at least. As you say, it is frustrating when you do not have much land (or in my case, no land at all) .

I'd actually really like to get an "overhead" picture of my plot (once I've finished the next little project) from a drone or something.

The image on Google Earth is so old, now . . . It shows the original lean-to shack I had on the back of the garage . . . probably 8/9 years ago ?

Quoting: Cunning Plan
(no offence)

None taken.

I like where I live, love it in fact.  I could've a bought bigger plot, with a bigger house but it would've meant a less-nice area . . . and I like to be the lowest common denominator in my area.

Roadkill

The driveway now . . . just need to finish adding some more sand to the gaps - should be done this weekend.

Be good to pressure-wash the existing strip at the bottom by the road, too.

And this is what I affectionately am referring to as "ground zero"

http://s30.photobucket.com/user/Roadkill-Auto/media/Mini%20Projects/IMAG1198_zps0ldnfrwo.jpg.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">

I've since been out (last night) and done a bit of tidying up, trimming the board back on the right hand side (by hand !).

I need another couple of feet at the back and really don't know how I'm gonna get it, yet . . . I'm just gonna start smashing about and see what happens.

Andy

Think you need to adjust your white balance a tad on the camera

Roadkill

LOL

For everyone's sanity, It's now switched back to Auto - I switched it to Incandescent as I was doing a survey within an office and the pictures were all coming out yellow . . auto didn't seem to be adjusting enough.
