Possible new floor for you RK?

Was that the stuff they were selling in CostCo recently ?

I wasn't impressed with that stuff, myself - not for the price . . .

Yeah, I'm gonna stick to a painted floor under the car - but opt for a tile-based option in the "workshop" area . . . .

What kind of tile?  Traditional?

Not 100% sure, yet . . .

Work has been progressing since the last pictures were taken - honestly !

Here's some fresh ones from tonight . . .

First one shows tonights work (double-skinning the fence to the left) . . .

The second shows the complete mainframe (note the acro's are only still there as I just haven't taken them down yet !)

The underlay is on the roof (so it's waterproof) and the capsheet will go on this saturday.

Once that is done the sub-framing can begin.

need any help ? ?

Looking good

I'd still have a garage door at the back so that you get stuff into the garden if needed

Maybe with some transport . . . I need a load of 50x50 timber for the subframe.

It's mainly light work from here (until the floor goes in).

Or like opening wooden barn doors so it doesnt look so...... industrial in the back garden..

Yeah, I see what you're saying - to be honest I have thought about it several times before - but I need a fixed, heavy duty, workbench more than I need an extra door.

When the garden's finally done there won't be any room for anything (more) in the garden, anyway . . . .

OK cool - have a chat to tonight and work out when!!

Okkies.

I'm gonna finish the fence tonight . . . . then it should leave things fairly clear . . .

Actually, there maybe one or two jobs I could use a hand with . . .

Got more done over the weekend . . main thing is that the cap-sheet is on the roof, meaning that there's just some odd little jobs to finish then the roof is done !

Started framing the interior . . . took ages doing the initial parts (I've got a piccy to post up later) . . .

Hopefully by the end of tonight they'll be some noticeable progress.

At the rate I'm going I'll be ready for "skinning" the outside within the nex 3-4 days-tops.

How are you going to skin the side with the fence so close ?

From the inside ??

CLOSE !?

It's a whole 11mm away !

The ship-lap panels will be cut and lowered into position on the outside, from the inside (if you know what I mean), then fixed to vertical braces (not yet fitted) from the inside (so no screw / nail heads showing from the outside).

Smooooth.

Roadkill

Yesterday's efforts . . . .

All lower horizontal rails fitted and all (but one) upper horizontal rails fitted.

Floor levels worked out - (mid line of the lower rails).

Tonights efforts . . . .

Last upper, horizontal rail fitted, plus all outter and inner, vertical supports added to long side.

Outside looking in :

Inside looking out :

Big thanks to Titsy for assistance on Saturday, thanks to Philo and Vicky for much required shopping trips (I owe you all money by the way).

Mega-thanks to Ian for assistance Saturday and this evening.

At least you know the roof is sturdy

Indeed, over the weekend we had myself, Titsy, Ian and my Dad on the roof at the same time . . plus tools, I reckon well over 340 kg !
