It never ceases to amaze me how optimistic people are . . . they rebuild an engine (with apparently stock parts ?), add some valve covers then start quoting figures of 350Bhp - What 100+Bhp more than stock ?

How ?

My LT1 (275Bhp) is low mileage with a whole host of modifications and $$$$ (or ££££) spent - yet I'm still only expecting 300-310Bhp.

Maybe I'm just pesimistic - I should've just dumped a rusty, stock 350ci in there !

Well the rebuild is worth 50bhp, the valve covers 25bhp each

Also note " The engine was rebuilt about some years ago " when the car was built some years ago
