I notice petrol's "down" to 104.9p a litre, here.

I won't be happy 'til it's back to below a pound !

Yerrrr, Ive never understood that when I used to use that Shell as my 'local'. I think they must be company car drivers so not paying for the fuel themselves which would be fine if it didnt affect everyone else BUT it does. If those people choose to fill up at those stations that have the higher price then it does nothing for competitive dynamics. If everyone went to the cheaper stations then the more expensive stations would be making £0 each day and be forced to match or beat local prices.

But I know I know, all the petrol companies are doing is squeezing their already tiny profit margins to undercut their rival. Its the MASSIVE goverment duty and then TAX on that duty which makes up most of the cost of fuel

If the difference is only a penny or two I'd use BP over Shell.

However a difference of (as of this morning) 4p can't be ignored.

EDGE

a lot of company car drivers have to use one brand of station as they usually have a fuel card which ties you in to it.
