Problem is, imho that could have happened to any car and was a symptom of the danger of the crowd being so close to, and sometimes actually on, the track.

Back then the crowds wee bigger though, probably says something about sterilised racing we have today.

I'd love to see a race between an RS200 and a modern WRC car.  I know technology particularly in brakes, tyres suspension etc has moved on, but they were such over powered brutes in Group B that I'm curious which would win today...
