2010 Camaro....

Ok, this guy on a forum i am on has just recieved his 2010 Camaro. I think it looks good (albeit needs a little lowering to hug the road), but we are waiting interior pics.

Questions :-

Do you think it looks good?

How can it be a 2010 camaro when we are still in 2009?

Is that front splitter/spoiler cracked?!

As much as I like Camaros, I'm still not sold on it.

Would've prefered a Firebird...

They should of used the SRT8 and the GT500 to keep it a fair test....
Its OK but much rather have the challenger anyday.............

I don't see why as that would be very unfair?

The base price for the SS Camaro is $30,990 whereas the Challenger SRT8 starts at $39,995 I believe? And the GT500 starts at $39k or thereabouts?

Plus the SS is just the base model V8 in the Camaro line up (no "special" model like the Shelby or SRT8 yet) so makes sense to compare it to the other base(ish) model V8's from the other two...

It's just what the stupid American's do, they are currently readying their 2011 models for release in the last half of 2009

I think it began many years ago with each manufacturer trying to beat one another with the release of "next" years model

My '58 was built in '57 and, as far as I know, sold in '57.

I'd have expected it to wear the Z28 badge with SS reserved for the top end machine, but then Chevy seem to be using SS on their top models these days. I doubt it will remain king of the hill however, they'll surely bring in a supercharged version once the initial excitement has quietened down...

But for now, it's the V6 or the SS V8...

They should do stuff like that again. Put the impression back in the public that their cars are (ok maybe not but still) better than imports, and they should buy American.

Would go with the Challenger too. Even though its the more expensive and not as well performing, its just kick ass to look at.

I still haven't seen one of these for real yet. Am pretty pissed as even my old ladies seen one.. or at least she thinks she has. 'It was bright orange with black bits heading towards London on the M4'

Saw the first one in the Blue as pictured as they were rolling it off the carrier at the dealership and fell in love!!
