Just noticed that the oil filter canister is where the genny normally is and that there's an alternator there . . . Can you take a picture of how the oil filter can is attached and where the lines go ?

57's have the oil filter and genny that way round, they swapped them round for 58 & 59, and then in 60 they had the modern type spin on filter at the bottom rear of the block. I'll try and take some pics, it's on the trailer atm.

I'd never noticed before.

Still interested in the oil line routing, though.

These old cars just don't float my boat as a rule but I'd have either one of them - although the second one does look like it had all the chrome bits left over in the stores thrown at its front
