Could you bring the ball joint press?  if its ok with Jamie ofc

Jamieg285

It would be fine, but I'm not likely to have the time to get them out.

I'm busy tonight and tomorrow morning preparing for the afternoon party/BBQ.

I might be able to get some time Sunday morning, but I don't know what the plans are for the morning, other than we are out for Sunday lunch.

Incursus

Ok.  There's no rush I haven't even ordered the parts yet.

did you not like the look of the ebay ones ? £30 delivered for the pair seems a bargain....

Ball joints arrived today

Incursus

Well that was a Ball Ache!!

Almost two days work, a 1/4 tank of Titsy fuel, a broken "pickle fork" (Deano's) and a broken "jaw" ball joint seperater (My Dad's) and we have changed 1 ball joint!

Had to cut the ball joint in half with a grinder and press out the bits with Jaimie's Magic Ball Joint Press.

Think i'll leave the other side till after the All Clubs!

Cheer's to Titsy for his help and patience (I get quite irrate when working on cars ).

Cheers to the tool lenders Dean, Dad, Jaime and Ryan (borrowed your grease gun)

I make reparations on the tools at the weekend (Payday Friday)

bloody heck - that took some time & effort then - must have been really well siezed up then if it wouldn't separate!!!

that the other side ain't as bad!!

That's true. Then you'd be used to it breaking.

I think you'll find that there are more broken Ford's on this forum than Chevy's

Why push a Ford when you can drive a Chevy

Mine's not broken. It was working perfectly when I decided to take it apart.
Still need a couple of weeks or so until it's drivable again yet....

Incursus

After 12 years she needs two new ball joints...not what I would call broken

I guess if I kept her in a garage and only drove her a few hundred mile year.....
