okay, time to revisit this (the timing seemed wrong on the old thread in light of the events of the last couple of weeks)

as you all well know, a bit of a faux pas on the CBR turned it from this..

into this........

the damage total was;

screen
right hand mirror
top fairing
clocks
right hand lower fairing
front brake master cylinder cap
front sub frame
top fairing
headlight
exhaust

so far, a new sub frame, headlight and clocks have been sourced and fitted, and the exhaust has been repaired (thanks for much valued assistance Shifty and Roadkill)

currently, she looks like this....

so, it is coming along.. should be back on the road middle of next week.

philoldsmobile

ahem.

What about my drunken assistance drilling and tapping the old exhaust flange bolts out / through ?

And providing tools and rivets ?

And providing you with that lovely reddish-pink layer of dust in the last shots ?

I dunno.

philoldsmobile

hehe....Flange

That flange needed some work - I can tell ya'.

I think it beat young Shiftini who was struggling to keep his tool centred on the job - that's why I had to step in with age and experience to finally open that hole out !

End result - one holed flange.

F Body

Hey Dude that junction box on the tank looks a bit heath robinson

This forum needs, ''YOU'' posting,Not just reading ! :moon:

Roadkill

Yeah, side effect of anything left in the garage at the moment - It gets used as a table.

philoldsmobile

there is a fist size dent in the tank now from the crash, so its hardly like i'm worried about any scratches.. in fact, there is only 2 panels that *aren't* scratched ATM

no fear, paint job soon ish.. (well, once work picks up again!) prob take it off the road over winter and do the paint job, perhaps over the chrimbo break

VIPER

philoldsmobile

slowly but surely... another boost was the return of some overtime at work today, so i can start putting some money aside for the paint job.

EDGE

Cheeky monkey, you took over, I could have done it. I did the rest alright.

Not that I doubt my own ability but that fibreglass work we did the other day philo turned out really good. Just make sure you do it justice by finishing it properly. I don't want to see any cowboys.
