need help with the lumina

can any one come round ? to have a look at my old mans new car it is a 1990 chevy lumina apv as i can not sort it . the probs are no central looking and the back indicators only work when you have a trailer light board conected to the tow bar any help will be good as i have lost my will to live now.

check connections into the rear indicators (and check the bulbs)

yank indicators are wired a little different due to the amber running lights, so opposed to euro cars (where the indicators flash faster with a bulb gone) yanks flash either slower, or not at all.. by adding a trailer boarrd, you are giving the relay the load of two working bulbs again, thus is is able to flash..

the relay will require two bulbs working (excluding repeaters) for it to flash, so the one on the car, plus the one on the trailer board is showing the relay ample load for it to flash..
