Still waiting for my keys... The sellers solicitor completed the transaction and fecked off for a long lunch before telling the estate agent they could release the keys... And they are only 2 doors down the road... :grumble:

Happened to us we the last three houses

With our current house we had to persuade the vendors to allow us to put all the big furniture items in the garage for two days whilst we waited for the keys

Finally got the keys at 2:30 ish... Have spent the afternoon/evening hoovering, cleaning, mopping etc; and then sugar soaping all the walls ready for painting tomorrow...

Ceilings all want painting to brighten them up, and then the walls (which are pretty good) will get a coat too...Also, the 1st and 3rd bedrooms could do with some coving to hide some sins...

We don't move till Wednesday/Thrsday next week, so i'll be labouring till then getting the place upto scratch, but it really isn't that bad... There are a few things wich are obvious now it's empty, and a few long term jobs to correct some dicey tiling in the downstairs loo, but i'll get there...

Trouble is you need another mortgage once you start regular visits to B&Q

Yup, I spent £200 in Wickes this morning and £50 in B&Q this evening, and I can think of a dozen things I still need/want to get...

Lightweight.

Try spending £1,500 in a week then you'll feel some burn.

T'was a good evening.

Good food (although I didn't eat enough of it), good beer (although I ran out) and good company.

Thanks for Titsy for hosting.

F-Body: we get proper interweb tonight so should be able upload them to the FTP/Gallery.

Oh and Thank Management for the Baked Spuds we re-heated them with some Chilli and Philo's Mulled Cider, after the Fireworks last night...awsome!
