Ready for the 2011 model year ( which is 2010 everywhere else except America )
the Mustang has got a new 5.0 litre V8 engine

It pumps out 412 HP and 390 lb-ft of torque using an aluminum engine block with cast cylinder sleeves and brand-new heads with four valves per cylinder, vertical intake ports and twin independent variable valve timing. It also has tuned exhaust headers, a forged steel crankshaft with four-bolt main bearings plus new pistons and connecting rods and will be mated to a 6R80 six-speed auto or MT82 manual transmission

Looks like it's spoiling for a fight with the Camaro

Welcome to the 21st centry Ford

"Varable valve timing"

It pleases me to see Ford embracing modern technology (thats only been around for 15+ years)

Should be a good engine.

Wonder who will be the first person to put one into a hot rod and who will be the first company to turbo/super charge one

FUBAR

fair doos, a nice looking modern engine there. should be good.
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

VVT on a Ford V8, wow!

What would the 'twin independent' part be refering to? The exhaust and intake valves?
